
PreCalc Workshop
The Precalculus Workshop Series provides training in most essential precalculus topics to prepare students for MATH 2413 and MATH 2417. We offer an interactive in-person option and a virtual lecture-only option.
In-Person Precalculus Camp (Gamified!)
A 3-week interactive series for students entering MATH 2413 and MATH 2417. Students will work in groups to solve math problems to complete a quest!
- Content covered includes:
- Difference Quotients, Completing the Square, Polynomials
- Rational and Algebraic Functions
- Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
- Trigonometric Functions
- Trigonometric Identities, Equations, and Inequalities Involving Trigonometric Functions
- Inverse Trigonometric Functions
- If time permits: Brief introduction into Calculus
If students want an introduction into calculus, they should attend the calculus camp.

Virtual Precalculus Camp (Lecture only!)
A 2-day lecture-style bootcamp for students entering MATH 2413 and MATH 2417. Students will watch Peer Tutoring staff work through multiple examples of precalculus content with the ability to ask questions through a chat feature in eLearning.

- Difference Quotients, Completing the Square, Polynomials
- Rational and Algebraic Functions
- Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
- Trigonometric Functions
- Trigonometric Identities, Equations, and Inequalities Involving Trigonometric Functions
- Inverse Trigonometric Functions
- If time permits: Brief introduction into Calculus
This camp is not eligible for the early PLTL registration bonus
If students want an introduction into calculus, they should attend the calculus camp.
