Group Appointments

The CommLab offers group appointments for students working on group speeches and presentations.  

To schedule a group appointment,  click “Make an appointment” and then select “In-person CommLab Appointment.” Next, choose “CommLab Group Appointment” and choose your time and tutor. A drop-down will offer 30- or 60-minute appointments. Choose the appointment length that corresponds with the type of group appointment you need. 

Brainstorming, outlines, feedback on visual materials: 
30 minutes or 60 minutes 

Rehearsing and feedback: 
Must schedule 60 minutes 

Recording: 
Must schedule 60 minutes

How do I schedule my CommLab appointment?

Make an appointment online. Choose “In-person CommLab Appointment to meet with a consultant on campus. Choose “Virtual CommLab Appointment” to meet with a consultant through SSCOnline. You can choose your day/time/tutor. Appointments must be made at least 12 hours in advance.

How do I meet with my tutor for a virtual appointment?

At the time of your appointment, log on to SSCOnline. You will see your appointment on the main page when you sign in. Click “Join Session.” This link will take you to Blackboard Collaborate, where you will meet with your tutor.  

How can I pull my extra credit report for my appointment?

You can pull your report from SSCOnline. Please see the link above on the right-hand side, “Click Here for Helpful Appointment Videos,” to watch a short tutorial on pulling your visit report.
