New to Working with the SSC
The Student Success Center (SSC) helps students in challenging courses. We are happy to partner with faculty members to provide students with the best support possible. Course support is determined based on OUE initiatives and departmental requests, depending on resource availability.
Please note, for supported courses, our practice is to enroll leaders in eLearning shells as visitors to keep up with course material and to avoid academic dishonesty. As visitors, they can only see course materials.

Faculty Advisory Board Members
The SSC Faculty Advisory Board (FAB) was established to create a connection between faculty of supported SSC courses and the SSC program coordinators. FAB meets two to three times per year to have a collaborative discussion about
- Ideas to improve and expand SSC services
- Trends observed in the classroom and the SSC
- Partnering together to positively impact the student experience at UTD
In addition, FAB has allowed faculty members to build relationships with colleagues across departments and learn from each other. If you are interested in learning more about FAB or potentially serving as a faculty representative, please contact either of the Co-Chairs: Kelli Hickey or Jessica Maidlow.
